THE PROCESS
Gia Gregory’s flexible approach can be customized to meet the unique project needs of every client. Taking into account client and project requirements, she can do anything you need with regards to project management and interior design.
Gia has a seamless process, which is her way to save time and money on any project. It’s a simple yet powerful process that streamlines, accelerates and empowers her designs, yet is flexible enough to consider your needs and your schedule.
This process works essentially the same whether Gia is just doing your interior design alone, or if she is undertaking the management of your renovation process along with your interiors.
1. INITIAL INTERVIEW
Everything Gia does begins and ends with your home, your lifestyle and your budget— so Gia will start by getting to know you and understanding your vision for the work. She will meet with you, preferably in your home, or the design space, to listen to you, understand your dreams, develop design goals, and identify any concerns.
This meeting will establish a comfortable working relationship between us. If a contractor and renovation is involved, they will be at this meeting as well. At this meeting, key considerations such as budget and timelines will also be discussed.
2. LETTER OF AGREEMENT
In order for us to move into the design phase, a financial commitment must be given by the client. Written confirmation of your project scope and fees will help limit any surprises along the way.
3. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
When hiring an interior designer, you likely are taking action on a project you’ve been dreaming about for some time. Gia doesn't steal this ownership from you by dictating design. Instead she provides you with an enjoyable boutique experience by listening to you and engaging you from start to finish.
Gia sits down with you to explore ideas, and develop concepts for an interior design solution that tells your story, matches your vision, and addresses your need for both high design and high functionality. Gia then develops sketches and gathers samples for your review and approval. Great design is critical to a great result and Gia will guide you every step of the way to finalize all details, including the construction drawings provided by the contractor, vendor contracts, product selection, project scheduling and pricing.
The contractor will draft preliminary construction drawings to review with Gia, as well as with you, providing you with the opportunity to suggest revisions, exchange ideas and assist with product selections. At this time, Gia will also carry out site visits and work with the contractor to gather quotes from her vendors and suppliers in order to formulate a more detailed estimate of costs.
Upon your approval, the contractor will create the final construction drawings, construction contract, project schedule and fixture / finish schedule, which Gia will review, and then the contractor and Gia will meet with you and share these with you to facilitate collaboration and updates.
4. DESIGN DOCUMENTATION
Enjoy watching your vision become reality while Gia works with your contractor and provide you with project management to oversee every aspect of your project's execution, guarding the schedule, the budget and quality control.
At this time, written and drawn documentation of the design solution occurs, including finish and fixture specifications for your contractor, and working with your contractor on technical drawings, lighting plans, custom cabinets, and custom furniture. No detail is too small.
As the project begins to take shape, Gia will take the reins and allow you to relax and watch it all come to life. Gia will work closely with your contractor, monitor the budget, as well as the schedule and keep you updated of the project’s progress. Gia is driven by client satisfaction and pride ourselves on upholding the highest quality standards, while bringing your vision and her design for it to life. And in the event that any changes or unforeseen circumstances arise, Gia will address them swiftly and capably while keeping you informed.
5. EXECUTION & PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Nothing is more exciting than being in your newly renovated home or commercial space and starting to enjoy the rewards. Whether it is a kitchen, bathroom or addition, or a commercial project, Gia takes great pride in her project management and want you to be as proud of the outcome as she is.
Gia will develop and manage the details of bringing your story to life by visiting construction sites to guide and assist your contractors, work with vendors to place furniture orders and oversee fabrication of custom items; as well as arrange and supervise delivery and installation. She will check in with you throughout the entire project.
Gia excels in working with contractors to create visionary design experiences that resonate with clients and exceed expectations. She is confident that when she walks through the project with you and deliver your keys to you at the end of the process, you will be completely satisfied.
There is no job too big or too small for Gia. Leave the headaches of project management of your residential design and renovation projects to her and allow yourself to focus on being home and living your life. If it is a commercial space, you will be taking care of business in your newly designed commercial interiors in no time.
